• Spatial data infrastructure based on Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC) specifications, in particular Geography Markup Language (GML), GML Simple-Features Profile, Web Feature Service (WFS), Web Map Service (WMS), Catalog Web Service (CWS), and Sensor Web Enablement (SWE)
• Geo mash-ups, i.e. web sites that mash up various organizational and user-volunteered information with background maps from sources such as Google Maps and OGC Web Map Servers
