Jordi Ramot

Jordi Ramot - Founder

Jordi brings more than 14 years of experience from both the traditional GIS and the world of geospatial interoperability. His GIS carreer started in 1995 when he landed a job to lead a GIS department in a government agency. Attracted by the dynamism of the private sector he later joined a private company specialized in LBS and Internet Mapping. During his stay in Vancouver, Canada, in 2001 he collaborated with a leading company in Geography Markup Language (GML). Inspired by the potential of OGC technologies he founded IOGEO shortly after returning to Spain.

Jordi's passion for technology and outdoor sports led him to create the popular trail sharing site wikiloc.com in his spare time. He has been a speaker at several international academic and business conferences on the subjects of Web 2.0 and map mash-ups

Jordi holds a M.Sc. in Computer Science from Universitat Oberta de Catalunya.

Alex Milanovic

Alex Milanovic - Technical Director

Alex brings over 12 years of experience in designing software solutions and managing software projects at companies such as TELUS, MacDonald Dettwiler & Associates, and Galdos Systems. He specializes in interoperable software solutions based on Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC) standards. He co-chaired the WFS Revision Work Group, co-authored the Simple-Features GML Profile specification, and contributed to the Web Feature Service and OGC Filter Encoding specifications. Alex holds an MBA in Management of Technology from Simon Fraser University and a B.Sc. in Computer Science and Mathematics from Tel Aviv University.

Jose Molina

Jose Molina - Spatial Web Developer

Jose is an experienced spatial web developer who has developed many geo mash-ups using open-source technologies and OGC standards. He also teaches courses on geospatial databases at the University of Girona. Jose holds a B.Sc. in Computer Systems from University of Girona.
